Fraud Awareness

Since the inception of currencies, financial fraud followed quickly.  Unfortunately, with the advent of technology, the more elaborate and prevalent fraud has become in our world.  While we encourage members to take advantage of the conveniences of technology, we also encourage you to educate yourselves in order to protect your assets and indentity from fraudulent use.  The key to prevention and reduction of identity theft and losses as a result of comprimised access, is education and diligence.

Please read all that you can to keep yourself up-to-date on new fraud schemes, and don’t ignore your senses.  If something seems too good to be true, it most always is.  Do not let yourself be pressured.  Scams usually operate on a time-sensitive basis, as the scammers know that if you had time to think about it, you would question their motives.

Financial fraud affects us all, financial institutions and members personally.  If you require information on any suspected fraud, please do not hesitate to contact us at 204-735-2394.  We appreciate your input and cooperation.
